Creative Healthy Snack Options With Julia Pilant

We all know healthy eating is all about making healthy choices all throughout the day including snack time. Instead of reaching for yet another granola bar try one of Julia's favorite snack recipes!

Raw Kale and Avocado Salad

Chop washed raw kale into salad sized pieces. Add ripe avocado, chopped red onion, lemon juice, and sea salt to taste. Gently mash up the avocado into the kale using your hands. Ingredient proportions are to your taste. The avocados eally mask any bitterness of the raw kale - very tasty!

Yogurt Parfait

I like to eat Bulgarian nonfat yogurt with fresh fruit slices, raw chocolate nuggets, and hemp seeds.

Popcorn With a Twist

Popcorn with nutritional yeast is a tasty movie snack (I also add olive oil or butter, but, ya know, you wouldn't have to do that). A little truffle salt is also the bomb to add tons of flavor.
